Art Journal Page Process, Prompt List #19

Full Video Tutorial:

Welcome!

Above is the prompt list tutorial video. The full prompt list can be found at the end of the video.
I encourage you to follow the prompts using your stash and see how the page turns out.

I have written the prompts for you to enjoy crafting without any expectations. Each of the lists that I write and follow, I have no plan in mind and I follow each step which makes crafting fun and care free. You can also use the same list multiple times and the outcome can be completely different.

Each of the prompt lists can be used for art journal pages, or if you prefer, you can create a canvas or tag with the steps. Whatever you feel like creating!

I hope you enjoy this weeks page.
If you create something that may have been inspired by the page/list, I would love to see your creation. Feel free to tag me on instagram with #SparklePrompts for any prompt list creations.

After priming this page I added red acrylic paint. I then stamped a background stamp with Archival ink Sienna and Plum to add interest.

For the next step I added the lace and ribbons that you can see layered here, along with cutting hearts out of grey card and composing them into a flower shape. I have used pearl effect drops for the centre of the flower.

I have cut out more grey hearts in a larger form, and used Black Soot Distress Oxide ink to darken the edges of the grey card.

To finish I have added two sentiments from the Idea-ology series of stickers. I then coloured some lace black and added it for the border of the layout.
Here is the full page spread, I hope you enjoyed this weeks prompt list.

Life Can Always Be A Fairy Tale, Polkadoodles Art Journal Page #1

Full Video Tutorial:

Welcome!

Thank you for joining me today, this post is an art journal page created with Polkadoodles products so the ones I have used for this creation will be linked at the bottom of the post.
I hope you enjoy.

To start the page I used two papers from Helga Hippo Paper Heaven 1 Printable Papers pack to create the background. I tore the papers and edged them with the distress ink worn lipstick. I then created a collage on the page for the background.

For the next step, I printed out Winnie Wonderland Toadstools Digital Stamp in two different sizes and painted them with acrylic. I then used a black fine liner to go over the outlines of the stamps.
I used glitter glue to add interest over the page in some areas.

For the focal image I chose Octavia Moonfly Wistful Digital Stamp. I painted it with watercolour paints and added the glitter glue on her tights, her hat, and the mushroom umbrella.
I then used a watercolour paint to add shading around the focal image and the toadstools to help ground them.

Here you can see the sentiment I have chosen, I thought it fit well with the theme of the page. I printed it from Octavia Moonfly - Say It All Sentiments and used more glitter glue to add interest, adding a backing border with brown card.

Here is the final result, I hope you enjoyed this art journal page. Please see below the links to each of the Polkadoodles products used on this page.
I will see you next time, where we will turn your creative spark, into a Creative Sparkle.

Thank you.

I began the page with yellow paint on one page and blue paint on the other. I then added stamping with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide and Fossilised Amber Distress Oxide.

The next step was to add patterned paper which I tore from wrapping paper and added with Modpodge and framed with Enamel Effects from Dovecrafts.
I then added feathers to each page with their opposing colours topping them.

For the focal image I stamped these Crazy Bird stamps by Tim Holtz & Stampers Anonymous. I then added shades of yellow in watercolour paints.

The border I added using the same paints as the background acrylics to finish.

To begin this weeks page I primed with a mixture of white gesso and acrylic paint in burnt umber.
The next step was to add torn magazine strips and adding watered down walnut brown acrylic paint to the background. I then outlined the strips with a metallic bronze paint to help them stand out.

For the focal image I chose a photograph of Sassy as my "loved one," and framed the photo with magazine strips and the same paint as the previous steps.
I then added dried skeleton leaves from my stash in several locations.

For the title I cut the word "Sassy" (the name of the dog in the photograph), on white paper using the same bronze paint on it. I then cut out the same word in black paper to create a shadow effect on the title.

To add a corner frame I chose to use a small corner stamp with black archival ink for the top left and bottom right corners.
For the final step I added a black envelope cut from my scan n cut machine with bronze edges and used a wax seal for the closure. I added the envelope with pva glue to finish.

For the background I began with priming the page with white gesso and adding purple paint mixed with black to create a dark base.

Moving on with the prompts I then added a title in white paper with mod podge, and once dried, I added colour to the title with yellow and blue marker pens.

I then added this Gorjuss Girl as my focal image which has been cut out from a scrapbook page from Santoro. I then added the balloons growing out from the bottom of the page, adding highlights in white gel pen on them.
The corner border has been added with pearl drops in pastel yellow.

Gold star stickers were then added, along with yellow acrylic paint to add splatters and gold acrylic paint to add streaks of paint from the stars to finish.
